Good Shepherd Seasonal Programs

Throughout the year, St. Patrick’s Good Shepherd program runs two Montessori-style enrichment events. These are times for children to engage with and explore God’s love for his people through scripture storytelling, manipulatives, art, feast, and song in a quiet and nurturing space. Child-led activities are designed to invite wonder and creativity and focus on process over product. They are free and open to children in the community.

  • Godly Play Summer Camp (every June, half-day camp, Mon-Thurs)

  • Advent-ure Saturday (every December, the second Saturday, half-day program)

About our teachers:

Cori Vivian is the children's and youth minister at St. Patrick's. She received her MDiv from Louisville Seminary in 2023, and an MA in English from Miami University in 2019. In addition to her seven years of experience in parish children's ministry, Cori has worked with kids at summer camps and the public library. She and her husband, Alec, have a one year-old son, and four dogs.

Jean Tarr has been involved with Sunday School and VBS programs since high school, and her love of working with children led to a 25-year teaching career in language arts and reading. She has a special fondness for sharing God's amazing story through Godly Play and she looks forward to working with the Good Shepherd program.

All volunteers complete a background check and SafeChurch training.
